The 'Dan' family of jet-powered aerial target drones was developed by OKB Sokol (Kazan), Russia, to simulate cruise missiles and aircraft for air-defence training; the modern Dan-M was repurposed as a kamikaze strike drone used against Ukraine from May 2025. A specific 'Dan-2' variant could not be precisely confirmed, but the Dan target-drone family is unambiguously Russian-origin.
